Can you believe it?! Early cherries are in the farm market already! Come and get ‘em!

Fresh strawberries are also in!

For those of you who are new to the store (and for those who are not but forget where we have the fruit!), come in our front doors and head straight for the Cherry Branch and Apple Barn! You’ll by-pass the bakery and Door County Coffee, the  Beanpod Soy Candles and rugs and will find yourself in a sea of red, delicious fruit! Here’s a visual for you:

Sorry about the mix-up! But the bakery didn’t open last Friday…it’s opening this upcoming Friday! Something to be in anticipation for!

A few other reminders:

~ We’re celebrating our 25th year as a business, and the celebration begins next weekend, Memorial Weekend!  Our Janet Lynn baskets will be 25% off – Beautiful baskets worth seeing! As the season progresses, there will be ONLINE STORE SPECIALS in connection to the anniversary – So be sure to stay connected!

~ One of Dale and Kristin Seaquist’s miniature horses had a filly! Her name is Liberty! If you’d like to see more images of her, please check out our Facebook Page.

We are officially open! The bakery opens today, flowers are in and new displays are being created as  the opening gets underway.

Please come on in! Don’t forget…this is our 25th season. We’ll be celebrating that in numerous ways; come in and see how!

As summer quickly approaches, we hope you are planning a trip to Door County! So many sights and adventures to be had in the county! Seaquist Orchards Farm Market will reopen their doors on May 21st, amidst the Festival of Blossoms! Please expect new, quality products and good service; we strive to provide both for you! We’re eagerly anticipating this season; it’s the 25th year the market has been in business and we plan on celebrating that!  If you have any suggestions as to how we should celebrate, please contact Kristin Seaquist at kseaquist@seaquistorchards.com.  Everything from celebration cake (or pies) to special deals, we want to really live it up this 2010 season!

It has been the winter tradition for a group of Seaquists and their relatives to meet at a cabin in Upper Michigan for a long weekend. Each year, lots of love and laughter are shared! Skiing of all sorts, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, walks along the lake, movie nights, puzzles, knitting…We love to do it all! Here’s a glimpse of our fun together:

Hi folks! It’s been a few weeks…

Hoping the year has started off well for you! To brighten this moment, here’s a short story:

Once upon a time there were two dreamers who sat upon a rock and vigorously dreamt. They dreamt of jams and apple cider slushies, plump cherries and hay mazes, full bellies and beaming faces. The dreamers (Dale and Kristin Seaquist, of course) pondered the ways to best serve and invite customers; “How will we do it?” they thought. Well, as dreams often do, they sparked initiative and the Seaquists hopped off the rock. They hit the ground running, and their dreams came to life!

Thank you for being a part of our exciting and driven reality! ( The rock mentioned does exist! It sits on the playground, right outside the farm market. During your next visit, take a seat on that rock and do a little dreaming of your own. )

We hope you have started off the year with joy! Thanks again for sharing in our last harvest and season!

Hi folks!

I apologize for such a long pause between my last posting and now!  Let me catch you up to speed…

Quite like previous years, the fall proved to be our busiest time at Seaquist Orchards Farm Market! As quickly as the leaves fell to the ground, we harvested and supplied several varieties of apples.  Mr. Seaquist spent most of his days offering samples and advice in the Apple Barn.  Standing beside my dad was where most people spent their time while in the farm market. But many kids and adults also found themselves in the greenhouse, trying to find their way through our straw maze. (This year the maze had a slide!) Families return on a yearly basis, simply to squeeze through the maze and grab a bag of apples. We thank you for returning and making our business a family tradition!

We closed the doors for the season on Halloween day. Thank you again for supporting our local, family-owned and operated business. We are so thankful! Speaking of thankfulness…Thanksgiving is fast approaching! And Christmas as well! Our family gets together and enjoys a feast, but not without first acknowledging that God has blessed us time and again, especially in regards to the business. Christmas time is another family time when we recognize, as a group and individually, how blessed we are! Enjoy the season with your family and friends! Hi there! It’s a beautiful Thursday, holding many possibilities! We hope you are enjoying the beauty of Door County. Feel so welcome to come into the farm market as a break from the sunshine. A cool cup of apple cider and a short sit on our porch does a lot of good…

Just a few updates on the fruit and family…

We now have Michigan Red Haven peaches available. Bright and juicy!
